2-holiday-booksEvery Season I open a tote with decorations and Holiday Books just for that season.  This year we have found alot of our books to be outgrown and are very happy to have these 2 new ones to replace them.

Both are classic stories that will be enjoyed for many years by my son who is currently 4.5 years old.

The Nutcracker

Join Clara on her Christmas Eve adventure as she steps into a world of toy soldiers and beautiful fairies. A classic festive tale brought to life by Valeria Docampos magical illustrations.

  • Age Range: 10 – 12 years
  • Grade Level: 5 – 6
  • Hardcover: 32 pages

In this version, the story is a version that my son  was easily able to sit through, understand, and enjoy.  Based on the age range, I envision us enjoying this book for at least 5 years, making it a great gift idea.

The Snow Queen

The closest of friendships broken by a cold-hearted Snow Queen. A cruel spell and an impossible task. A dangerous journey with a magical reunion. This book is a sparkling retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairy tale filled with bravery and love, and is illustrated by Charlotte Cooke.

Hardcover: 32 pages

This version of the Snow Queen is a story I look forward to reading annually for years to come.  My son enjoyed the story, understood it, and was easily able to sit through it.  The hardcover edition has a textured cover for little ones to enjoy.
